Starting in 2010, PHRF of the Mid-Atlantic has begin using online forms to collect renewal revalidation forms and new yacht applications. Forms are still available for download and printing, mailing or fax. Checks may be sent through the mail, but the preferred method is via PayPal.

The process to either renew or apply for a new rating is very simple.

1. First submit payment via Paypal. This is how PHRF of the Mid-Atlantic accepts credit or debit cards. You do not have to have an account with PayPal to use this payment system.

When you complete your transaction, you should be directed back to the PHRF of the Mid-Atlantic web page, for renewals and new yacht applications. We have found that due to some security setting on certain internet browsers, that this does not always happen. The direct links are listed below if you have any issue returning to the PHRF of the Mid-Atlantic web page to complete your renewal or new yacht application. An auto-response email is also sent after your payment with this information.

2 Either complete the revalidation form or the new yacht application and submit. Renewals are processed within 5 business days if both online payment and form are completed. New boat applications are processed at the next meeting of the PHRF-MA handicapping committee after an application is received. Renewals and applications sent through the US MAIL should be done at least 3 weeks before the first race that the certificate will be needed.
